Chol Hamoed is right around the corner, and trip planning is in full swing! Whether you’re trying to entertain toddlers or looking for something adventurous for the older kids, figuring out where to go is only half the battle. The other half? Paying for it.

Taking the whole family out to amusement parks, indoor entertainment centers, zoos, or museums can get incredibly expensive. But before you pull out your credit card at the ticket booth or buy full-price tickets directly on the venue's website, there is one crucial step you need to take.

You need to check Groupon. It sounds simple, but you would be shocked at how much money you can save just by taking 30 seconds to run a quick search.

Don’t pay full price at the door before checking this

During Chol Hamoed, many attractions quietly offer 20–50% discounts on Groupon — for the same tickets you’d otherwise pay full price for at the gate.

How to Do the "Groupon Hack" Right:

1. Brainstorm Your Destination: Figure out what kind of trip the family is in the mood for. An indoor trampoline park? An aquarium? A family fun center?

2. Search Before You Commit: Before promising the kids a specific place, click here to search for your local area.

3. Compare and Buy: Find a deal that fits your family's vibe. Purchase the voucher through Groupon right from your phone, and simply show it at the door when you arrive.

Pro Tip: Even if you are already in the car on the way to a destination, take one minute to check. If the venue is listed, you can buy the tickets in the parking lot and save a bundle before walking through the front doors.
